Healthcare and Social Services to be projected to be the next big thing.
Globally, the demand for Healthcare and Social Services is increasing, and so are people pursuing them. Professionals in different areas are quitting to start from the bottom in this field. True that the world actually needs kinder people and those who genuinely care.
In the past few years, Canada’s immigration system has been prioritizing the field and recognizing the importance of health care and social services. Express Entry thus has a specific category of Healthcare and Social Services and has been inviting thousands of professionals to apply for Permanent Residency.
What is the Trend?
The Health Care and Social Services category in Express Entry has shown an encouraging shift this year. The year alone witnessed 7500 invitations sent in four draws. The most recent draw on August 19, 2025, invited candidates with a score of 470, which is a welcome drop from earlier, tougher draws. In fact, the scores have ranged from a high of 510 on May 2, 2025, to a low of 475 on July 22, 2025. What this really means is that the trend is moving in a positive direction—opening doors for more dedicated professionals in health care and social services to receive an invitation.
